The Egyptian Automobile Manufacturers Association
( EAMA ) is
the individual body representing the auto
motive manufacturers, and assemblers in
Egypt.
EAMA represents
the interests of its member companies to
act as the voice both at home and abroad
of this important branch of the national
economy, and maintain the high standards
of this industry as a whole, by providing
services and support for the whole industry,
and a focus to reflect its ever-changing
needs and interests.
EAMA is a private
Egyptian NGO registered at the ministry
of Social Affairs.
To develop the Egyptian automotive industry as a specific branch of the national economy.
To promote the interests of the automotive industry in Egypt and abroad in all appropriate places and at all level.
To develop collaboration amongst its members and observers in technical, production and commercial fields.
To establish mutually advantageous contacts and cooperation with partners which are not members in the association.
To promote cooperation between the Egyptian automotive industries and foreign partners.
To be consulted for advice and input by government bodies and preparing new technical standards and legislation on the topics that affect automotive industry.
Any company, the activity of which corresponds with the principal objectives of this association, is eligible to join.
An applicant may become either an active member, or an associated member, or may participate in activities of specialized sections and working parties.
The approval of the board of directors is necessary for a new member to join.
Membership of this association does not deny an applicant's membership of other associations or organizations.
General Assembly consists of representatives of all members.
The board is the supreme body of the association and consists of 9 members from the General Assembly.
The Board's resolutions express the joint will and interests of their members and are looked upon as proposals and recommendations.
It has its meetings at least 4 times a year.
The Board's selected members are its President and Secretary General.
Services
Organize periodical meetings to solve any problems concerning its members.
Organize and join local and international conferences and motor shows.
It offers its services, according to the association, first to its members then to other partners (conditions to be negotiated).
The services include:
Gather, analyze and distribute technical, production, commercial, and statistical information, both local and foreign.
Ensure effective relations and exchange of information between partners.
Seek topics for domestic and international co-operation and develop them.
Organize initial negotiations between Egyptian partners; provide consultation and expert advice.
Co-ordinate joint technical development of the association and its joint proposals or representations concerning technical legislation.
Promote status and image, to raise the profile of the association and its members by undertaking activities in the field of exhibitions, dissemination of information and public relations.
