The automotive sector in Egypt is considered one of the most important sectors in the Egyptian economy, as the level of purchase of passenger cars, whether new or reconditioned, is recognized the world over as an important barometer of the economy, and of consumers confidence.

The purpose of this section is to provide data and statistics on the current vehicle market in order to serve both the producers and the traders as well as all operators in Egypt & overseas involved in the automotive business. There are currently large amounts of data available on the sector, however scattered around, between several entities. The market statistics presented in this section are gathered & compiled at the initiative of AMIC, the official automotive marketing information council, representing all the automotive assemblers & agents, whether for passenger cars or commercial vehicles.

The data in this section is a summary of the sales & production figures gathered each month from the automotive profession in Egypt, under the auspices of AMIC.
